Hello every one:

I have a situation where they are using a 2.5" raised floor to run power and comm. cables for offices. This area is just dedicated for a large number of offices (8'x10', each). my questions are:
1. What is the recommended type of cable I need to use for this application?
2. I prefer to use flex cabling, do we need to support those cables? and if so, what is the method of supporting and the spacing?
3.Does it have to be liquid tight ?

Thanks for any thoughts,

Sam

The manufacturer should be able to provide you with the information you required. Under normal circumstance do not use hard conduit as this will mostly likely cause problems with crossovers in the installation. Normally I recommend MC cable for my installations at that height. The cabling as per the NEC must be secured this normally allows you to tywrap the cables either to the webbing or pedistals depending on the sytle of the floor. I hope this helps.
