Could someone please help me solve this caculation?

30 units 240V single phase service. 10 units have 3kw ranges, 10 units have 8kw ranges, and 10 units have 16kw ranges. What is the demand on the service in kw?

I won’t be of any help since I am going to bed. Though just to let you know, if you don’t show how you would work this problem out you probably won’t get the answer.

I'm not sure but this might help, take a look at the Informative Annex D Examples in the back of the NEC:
Example D6 Maximum Demand for Range Loads

Tell us what you come up with.

I assume they are looking for standard calculations

For the 10- 3 kw look at column A in Table 220.55

For the 10- 8kw use col B

for 10- 16kw use column C-- this will be the hardest. Remember Col A an B are percentage demand factors while column C is kw. You will need to use note 1 also
