Rapid shutdown for system with panels on more than one building

Quick question,
When installing a residential system with panels on both a house and a detached garage, is it required by nec 2017 to have disconnecting means for rapid shutdown on both structures? Or would a switch at just the meter main suffice?

A single initiation device is allowed, see 690.12(C) 2017 NEC

If you are using AC disconnecting to initiate rapid shutdown, and complying with the rest of the code (particularly 225.31), then you'll have initiating devices on each building anyway.
