I have a question regarding a nameplate rating of an air conditioner. It has a 220/240 volt rating and my souce is a 120/208v 3 phase panel. What can i do?

It may well run on 208v 1ph, using two of the three lines. The only sure way to know is ask the manufacturer. It would have to be an older unit to not work on 208v, in my opinion.

Are you sure that the name plate says "220/240"? Anyway, I agree with Larry.
