I have a homeowner installed fiberglass tub, everything is plastic, plumbing pipes, drain lines, the only metal is the motor.
How do I bond this tub with the #8 solid wire?
Contractor is telling me to take it off the #12 gounding equipment line to the motor
Can this be done?

If there is no metal to bond, then you do not have to do it. If there is any metal in the water system, then you have to bond the motor to the metallic part of the water line. What about the faucets? Are they plastic?

The motor will be grounded via the EGC, and the bond lug is attached to the motor housing, so it is already connected, no extra effort is required.
