Readily Identifiable

NEC 517.30 (E) Indicates that the plates or receptacles powered from the emerg. system shall have distinctive color or readily identifiable.

Do receptacles and/or coverplates have to be red, and if not then how does one accommodate readily identifiable?

Re: Readily Identifiable

Red is pretty much the norm but in reality it can be any color the facility chooses or, the AHJ has adopted formaly as long as it is distinguishable from the other branches receptacles.

Along with this requirement take note of the labeling in 517.19(A)
