Reading and interpreting ladder diagrams?

Need to find good book,dvd and/or software on subject. Having hard time finding anything on subject. I have some knowledge of subject but would like to have better understanding.

Are you talking relay lader logic or plc? In either case it is not hard to understand. You have a series of conditions that have to be met for the output to energize. That output may or may not be used as a condition in another rung. It is not hard to follow. I used to have some old AB books that came with PLC way back when. I'll look around the place and see if they're still around, if they are I will send them to you.
