it is required per NEC to have disconnecting means if a single receptacle is installed in a separate building?

I am adding a standby generator to an existing system and the owner requested a receptacle to added to the generator in a separate building. the voltage is 277/480 so i am adding a lighting transformer, load center panel for battery charger, jacket heater, etc... and an auxiliary receptacle in a building the is located across the yard from the location of the SB generator. this receptacle will also be powered via purchase power. My question is as stated above...I cannot locate the requirement in the code book (NEC 2005) that requires a means of disconnecting if a branch circuit is routed to an additional building....thanks in advance
