I work in a manufacturing facility and a question came up regarding locations of 120VAC recepatacles mounted on machinery and conveyeing equipment. They were put in place for the use of portbale fans, tools etc. Is this covered by any code or standard anywhere? Providing they are wired/grounded per code requirements I have not found anything prohibiting this. Many of the locations are washdown areas, the receptacles in these areas are GFI.
