receptacle mounting

Is this code compliant:
Plug-in bus duct over head, plug-in circuit braker OCPD for receptacles attached via SJO cord. Cord is approx 8'-12'(w/ proper supports). Receptacles not secured to any structure but supported by the cord.

Are the Receptacles in a box?
If so, what kind of Box is it?

A box with knockouts is not acceptable. A box with threaded conduit hubs is acceptable. OSHA may have restrictions on a "metal" box, they might require it to be "rubber" coated to minimize injury caused by walking into it.

I routinely see "knockout" boxes intalled in this fashion, especially for store displays at Home Depot, Lowes, WalMart etc.
They are installed like this when the stores are brand new, and they pass inspection. :roll:
