I'm looking for a receptacle that is listed to be mounted on the access hole for a light pole.
I saw this (see attachment) but it doesn't comply with 406.9

Custom wants lowest profile. A bell box and bubble cover isn't what they were hoping for

Feedback is appreciated

The only chance at all is directly from the maker of the pole itself.

Likely they would have to be ordered at the time the poles were purchased.

That does bring up an interesting situation,
how does one treat that receptacle with only a flip lid on a pole like that.
Ok or not Ok?
It is the listed receptacle for their pole by Kichler.
Or has Kichler and others stopped offering the receptacle?
It has been a while since I've put a post light in and maybe lost touch with what's available now.

I do maintenance on the street lights in the city where I live. They have a receptacle similar to the one pictured in post 1. The receptacle is for plugging in lighted wreaths at Christmas. They are located at the top of the pole some 20 ft. up so I guess they don't have to comply with 406.9. They were supplied with the poles.

Yes, but what about the everyday residential post light like the one in the photo?
Does it technically need a in-use cover now? Which of course is not designed to fasten to a curved surface.

I don't see how you can get around the requirement for an "in use" cover now.

I'm guessing those might have been installed before the newer requirements for "in use" covers?
