Receptacle on covered porch

A GFCI outlet is installed on a covered porch in my home. The porch is aprox 54 inches deep, has a roof but no walls and is exposed to the elements. There is an LB at the wall penetration and about 5 feet of thin-wall EMT to the box, which is weather proof. This is all about 8 inches from the finished floor of the porch running horizontally. There is no protection on the circuit until the box. Is this legal? My thought is no, it should be in weather proof conduit or at least be done with compression fittings at both ends of the EMT and the GFCI protection should start inside the house ? I would appreciate comments.

Re: Receptacle on covered porch

Providing GFCI protection before the receptacle will not provide any added personal safety, I would leave that as is.

If the location you describe is indeed a wet location per defintion, then I agree that any couplings or connectors used should be listed as raintight.
