Does anyone have experience attaching a receptacle to a suspended ceiling? Having trouble figuring how to secure it. I envision rmc to a box that is attached to the ceiling t-bar but don't know with what. Thanks.

Use the Erico (caddy) 512HD. It might cost a little more, but it's well worth it. It's the only thing we stock.

That's perfect. Thank you all for your help. Insidently, that'snothing like what I had envisioned. Much cleaner.

Sidd,

That's what I had in mind! Seismic bracing in both directions of course, vibration isolators, water cooled bearings, etc. standard stuff.

Another way I have tackled this if you don't have the t-bar is to cut a section of 1/2" EMT long enough to span the ceiling grid - attach your box to the EMT with one hole clamps - then secure your EMT to the grid work with tie wire (use spacers if needed to get proper height). I hope my feeble explanation is enough for you to envision how it's done. It works in a pinch if you don't have the bar - but if you have the bar it's the way to go.
