Lets say you rough in a room to code. This is a very small room 6'X8'.this room has three French doors in the room. so that makes only one wall with nothing on or in it. So I installed 1 receptacle on each side of 2 of the French doors.
I didn't install any other rec near the third door because the other receptacles were within 2 feet of each side of that third door if that makes since.
It passed inspection. So I went out, to trim it out. The homeowners decided they did not want that 3rd set of French doors and had the gc take them out, frame the wall, then hung the dry wall.

Now I have a wall with no receptacle. That wall is 8', I have 2 rec near that 8 foot wall because of the other 2 French doors and the distance between those 2 are less than 12'
Will that fly? Or are they going to make install a rec in that wall now because it's more than 2' of wall space?

You should be ok. If measured around the floor line you are no more than 12' it should fly

I am not sure I am understanding the scenario correctly, so I will just go with this statement...

If you have an 8' wall with no receptacles than it is a violation. If the wall continus around the corners and you have other receptacles installed so that the entire wall space has recepts within 12' of each other, than you are fine. I have ended up with entire walls in small rooms with no recept. before, and it looks odd and seems wasted, but as long as installed outlets cover mandated wall "space" than you are ok. The GC and HO messed up in this case, so let them know politely of any possible violations and that if they want their final they need to pull out the rock. I have had to do it before it it isn't fun, but better now than when they are wanting to settle in and cannot.

....If you have an 8' wall with no receptacles than it is a violation. ......

An 8' wall with no receptacle is not a violation unless it's all by itself. If there's a recep on each adjacent wall within a combined distance of more than 4', then yes, that's a violation.
So you can have a receptacle 2' from the corner, then the 8' wall, then another recep 2' after the next corner and still be legal.

I thought that is what I said?

Edit to add:

Off subject, don't you just hate it, when a GC makes a change like that? They tend to be the first one to gripe if you are a no-show without a phone call. Would it be to much to receive a call from them?

If you are now more than 6' away from a receptacle on that wall, one is needed and enjoy the money from the change order for fishing wire.
