I am working on the electrical design for new construction. The dwelling includes an indoor pool room. I'm trying to determine what are the required outlets in that room.

210.52 provides requirements for receptacles in dwellings as quoted here:
(A) General Provisions
In every kitchen, family room, dining room, living room, parlor, library, den, sunroom, bedroom, recreation room, or similar room or area of dwelling units, receptacle outlets shall be installed in accordance with the general provisions specified in 210.52(A)(1) through (A)(4).
(1) Spacing
Receptacles shall be installed such that no point measured horizontally along the floor line of any wall space is more than 1.8 m (6 ft) from a receptacle outlet.

680.22 requires at least one receptacle and at least 6 ft from the pool edge as quoted here:

(A) Receptacles
(1) Required Receptacle, Location
Where a permanently installed pool is installed, no fewer than one 125-volt, 15- or 20-ampere receptacle on a general-purpose branch circuit shall be located not less than 1.83 m (6 ft) from, and not more than 6.0 m (20 ft) from, the inside wall of the pool. This receptacle shall be located not more than 2.0 m (6 ft 6 in.) above the floor, platform, or grade level serving the pool.

In the proposed design, the room is too small to satisfy the requirements. Specifically, it is not possible to have all wall areas less than 6 feet from a receptacle and all receptacles 6 feet from the water edge.

In such situations, do we say:

A) 210.52 does not specifically mention pool rooms and neither "sunroom" nor "or a similar room" apply. So ignore 210.52 for this purpose?
B) 210.52 does apply even in this space, so redesign the space so that both requirements can be met simultaneously?
