Has anyone ever installed a receptacle with tamper proof screws?
Duplex symbol says to provide with tamper proof screws. I'd assume that for the plate only?
DO they even sell plates with tamper proof screws or you have to by separate?
They didn't mention tamperproof receptacle.

I've been required to use them on faceplates a few times and bought them as a separate item from Hubbell.
Plates may be available with the screws but it was quicker for me to buy them separate.

We had to provide tamper resistant screws for the switch and receptacle covers in prison cells, but they don't really work....they just heated up the end of a tooth brush handle, pushed the soft plastic into the screw and let it harden, and then removed the screws. They had specified stainless steel covers, and when removed and modified a bit, they make good shivs.
We also purchased the screws separate from the covers.

wow. What do you do, hit the screw with a tig torch and melt it to the plate? Then angle grinder to get it off?

WOW!!! Would've plastic covers made a difference?

Would lock tight might of helped??? I don’t see them getting to much torque from The toothbrush??
Would lock tight comprise the grounding conductance if the strap/box connection is the grounding mechanism? Is lock tight conductive?

General Loctite, no. Some is thermally conductive but not electrical to my knowledge. Loctite does however make conductive adhesives. In a prison I guess you could glue the screws in place but every time they pried the covers off to break the screw head off, you'd have to replace the entire device. I say just don't give them electricity. They earned it and it would save tax payers millions. :D
