Receptacle spacing in corridors

Is 100' the recommended receptacle spacing in corridors of office buildings? I believe this takes into account a 50' cord for vacuums. This is not required by the NEC though.
 
No rule but if I was thinking 50' cords I might put the receptacles around 40' apart just to provide some overlap. Or maybe none at all, I guess it depends on the customer. :)
