question is a receptaqcle required in a bathroom, for a example , a warehouse
bathroom, i see in the nec 210.8 b, if a receptacle is install it must be gfi.
but
one is not required. is this correct please advise thanks

I don't know the section of the top of my head, but non-dwelling bathrooms do not require receptacles. However, you are correct that if one were there, even if it is servicing a dedicated plug-in appliance, a GFCI is still required (as of 2008).

Edit:
Flipping through, we have:
210.11 Branch Circuits Required

Subsection (C) deals with dwelling units and in there is where a bathroom receptacle circuit is mentioned.
Other-than-dwelling units are not even mentioned in 210.11, which leads us to conclude that (except for some special cases in later Chapters) there is no requirement for any receptacles anywhere in NEC.

210.50 says to check 210.52 thru 210.63. Nothing states that the receptacle is required for other than residental. However I do Agree that it would have to be GFCI if it were in a bathroom.

There are required outlets per 210.60 thru 210.63, that cover outside the residential world.

210.60 did a get a change in the 08. The words - Dormitories, and similiar Occupancies were added.

210.62 did a get a change in the 08. The words for show windows reflects the plugs have to go high - within 450mm (18 in) of the top of a were added.

Nothing we don't normally do Guest rooms or guest suites, show windows, HVAC and refrigeration.

The ones we try to deliver on are plugs at MCC's, and switch gear for maintenace, and housekeeping activities. Can't make the design teams put them on the print, but they're a good upsell.
