I am currently installing automatic swimming pool covers. The cover, reel and motor are submerged at one end of the pool. The motor is 120v., 3/4 hp.w/attached straight blade plug end.
The complete motor and reel is covered by alum. deck plates, that are mounted permanent, but are not locked down. The alum. deck planks are not water tight. The motor is approx 12" away from waters edge of the pool. Question, What kind of box cover is needed for this application? The use of a cord keeper w/p cover is too big to fit in the box w/the motor. Because the box is covered I didn't think a cord keeper cover is necessary. If can please give me section # from NEC so I can show the electricians doing the job.
