Receptacles in School Bathrooms

Is there anything in the code that requires a receptacle to be installed in a school bathroom? If so, does it HAVE to be GFCI protected?

Also, wouldn't it be logical to have the receptacle in the hall right outside instead of in the bathroom - out of the reach of children?

No.

Yes, see 210.8(B)(1).

How tall are the children?

That would be a design issue. There are other methods to enhance safety such as tamperproof receptacles, etc. No special requirements exist, but options abound if the designer is concerned.

What does logic have to do with the NEC? :D
 
If the print shows one then install it but it is not required by nec.Any bathroom receptacles need gfci.
By the time most kids are 10 they can reach anything you can LOL
