Receptacles in vacant space

Is there a requirement in the NEC to provide receptacles in vacant spaces?
It's an empty floor with lighting and convenience receptacles in the core areas and emergency egress lighting thruout the floor.

nts (other than special purpose like A/C maintenance) are for residential (dwelling unit) situations.

With the 2014 NEC, there is now a requirement for a receptacle in the electrical service area, but right now, I can't recall the section.
