How many 120V receptacles can you put on a 20A branch circuit?

I'm working on a healthcare project and I'm using 180VA for general power receptacles. I see an example in the '99 handbook that shows 13 (2340VA). I though we could not load a circuit beyond 80%.

The 80% figure aplies to continuous loads only. The convenience receptacles are not considered continuous loads.

Bob, I'm glad you did that. I thought about it but couldn't bring myself to touch it. :D How long did you laugh when you first saw this thread?

Roger I laughed allot, which is to say about 1/2 as much as when I read your recap. :D

I would like to see some of your correspondence with general contractors and suppliers that are failing to meet their obligations.
