I'm looking to install recessed cans in my basement. Haven't installed recessed lights in my short electrical career in a basement. For a 7' ceiling, do you recommend 4 or 5" cans?

I've installed Lithonia 4 and 6 inch ultra thin wafers in short ceiling situations in the past. Worked out very well. The beam spread in not traditional in the sense of down lighting so it gives off a wider spread in these applications. Look them up and see what you think. Just "snake" the switch leg in-between the ceiling joists and cut in after the rock is installed. Just my opinion.

I just glanced at the product and it seems solid. I have no experience installing this brand but the wafer ultra thins are comparable to what I've used previously. I'd say go for it and let me know how it turns out!

Im trying to put alot in my basement. Trying to save some money. Seems good. Seems good ratings. And more affordable.
