Reciprocal from SC to GA, and now GA to Fl

I am planning on moving to Orlando Florida and I am trying to find information on reciprocating into Florida. I took my state electrical exam & past in the state of SC, I then applied for a GA license by reciprocal. So now I have both a SC EL4 license and a GA non-restricted electrical lic.

My question is:
Can I recriprocate into FL with my GA license which was obtained by reciprocating from SC not by exam?

I know you can reciprocate from GA to FL because both their exams are similar.

When I moved to NC, I had a VA and SC masters card. Since I resided in NC, I had to take their test. If I resided in NC or SC, and had an Electrical Contractors license, I could have gotten a NC license by reciprocity.

My gut says you will face the same thing.

I'm looking into doing this also because i live about 10 min from the FL state line, and have been contacted about working there. FL will only reciprocate a WRITTEN EXAM in GA. And your GA non-restricted will not get you a FL EC license either unfortunately. In FL, an EC license covers everything. Our great state of GA has split our electricians into two categories; Electrical Contractor and Low Voltage Contractor. You have to apprentice for someone w/ the license you want for 4 years to be eligble to get the license. I've talked w/ a guy ATL who tells me that my non-restricted license qualifies me to take the low voltage exam (the company i apprenticed w/ did not have a low-voltage license), but I still have to find a guy w/ a low-voltage license to sign me off to take the test. So, now i have to call my prospective competition to ask them if they will approve me to be their competitor. Make sense? Hell no. So to reciprocate a GA lic. to FL, you have to have both a non-restricted electrical and an unlimited low-voltage. btw, the low voltage license has 4 separate categories; unlimited, general, alarm, and telecom. Don't even get me started on the new general contractor licensing that goes into effect jan '08. I think it will be easier just to go take the FL test if they will let us.

Thank you all for your help

Thank you all for your help

I had in the back of my mind that I would have to take the GA low voltage test in order to get to FL but I was hoping I was wrong . I could just take the low voltage test in GA seeings I'm only 1/2 hr from Savannh. We would like to establish our company and some jobs before we move there. I think it would make us move a little faster to get this done.
