Hi ,

I found a program that looks like it will do floor plans and a lot of cool features for about $200.00.

However, I don't need much more than something with panel boards, plugs switches, floor plans....

Can you guys recommend a program that is between free and hopefully less than $200.00 that will
cover basic layouts>

Thanks.

I use Residential Wire Pro 2 from cmh software which was suggested. I think it cost me about $100 and it comes with a 30 day money back guarantee. I like it and it gives me what I need. Flexible for adding and deleting features to individual circuits etc. How much you can do with it for commercial; don't know but they have other programs that may help you.

draftsight is a free autocad clone.

Draftsight works exactly like AutoCAD. After using this, I don't see why companies pay the big$ for AutoCAD
licences. The reason it's a such a good free product is that it is essentially a shill for Solidworks made by the
same company. They actually sell a pro version of Draftsight now but the basic remains free.

Does it produce .dwg files that AutoCAD can open/edit?
