The GB (red and black) ones are pretty good. The one I had before that, I don't remember the brand, it was all chrome, was horrible. It jammed just about every fifth shot.

This is the one I use and like:

I mostly use a hammer but there are times a stapler is better/faster.
I use a Cable Boss by GB. Comes in handy in areas you can't swing a hammer.
Especially like using it for cabling and the like.
It takes different size staples depending on what you are stapling. You just flip the staple guide/shoot around and install the correct staple.

I've had several different kinds and don't really like any of them, only time I bother to get it out of truck is for stapling inside cabinets: thin wood and hard to get at

An Estwing hammer.

I bought one of those NM cable staplers back in 2004 or so, I used it on one job and never used it again. I finally threw it away.

That was the Powerfast, the one I had. Yes, it was horrible. :happyyes:

Have wired a couple of houses with T75 stapler, no problems even for 70 YO hand, good for hard to get at spaces, but still use hammer more than 50% of time. Would like to see a good pneumatic stapler though as I get older.

Use a T25 for low voltage.

Tried the cable boss.. jammed every 3rd staple..or so it seemed
tried it most of the day then it "accidentally" flew across the room into the corner, to be replaced by a hammer and box of Viking staples

I also have the one above. Staples are costly and my men just don't use it. Either they forget about it or don't have the staples.

I generally use the Arrow T-75 for stapling wires along the sill plate in a basement. Otherwise I'm a hammer and staples guy. If you use the stapler for everything it starts to get a bit expensive. Checked on Amazon and they're about $9.00 for a 300 count box.

$8.99....... for 1,000.

That will do 3 full houses for me. That's............. let's see.............. 3 bucks a house. Hardly a 'bit expensive'.

You'd be better off using your money to buy a bag of zip ties that have the built in eyelets and a box of screws.

Yeah and a small 4V screwdriver that can drive 3/4" screws all day long.

I have a Powerfast Strap-Gun, and they have an absolutely maddening jam rate, even if you baby the clips of staples.
