Recommendation or reviews of inspection camera

Someone showed me one once, it was the kind where you look through the scope. I didn't really care for it, because the picture was to small.

Now I've seen a couple that have the regular screen and you get pretty good resolution with those.

I've been interested in getting a snake optical inspection camera. What do you have and what do you like/dislike about it?

thanks

this one works well.... Ridgid and Milwaukee both have cheaper ones at a couple hundred bucks,
this one is about $600, but it works with extensions to 30' and the big snakes out to 500'.
it's higher resolution than the small ones, and was worth the money to me, but if you are just
peeking inside drywall, you might be better served by a cheaper one, but i've tried the cheaper
Milwaukee, and it's not as good....

much appreciated the great review fulthrotl... even with picks!

$600 IS a little on the pricey side but if I can convince myself I would have lots of use for one I'd like a decent one like that.

It's kinda funny, about two weeks before I lost a sweet position with a gov contractor, I was being "wined and dined" by a salesmen trying to sell me a $15,000 boroscope setup. Oh by the way the firmware doesn't recognize SD cards bigger than 4GB..... anyway.

I've actually had a lot of experience with "high end" boro-scopes going back to my Aircraft Maintenance Technician days.

I bet the typical $200 scope now would have been a $20,000 miracle 11 years ago when I was in A&P school.
