Recommendations for simple drawing software

I just quoted a job to provide an in-depth electrical survey of a facility. Part of the scope is to do a one line drawing of the electrical distribution equipment. It is likely I will get the job.

Can anyone recommend a simple to learn & use software program for creating the drawing? I would prefer a Mac based program, but can use Windows based if need be.

Thanks

PunchCAD's VIACAD 2d/3d
i use ViaCad Pro v9 and love it. easy to learn too. the non-pro 2d/3d version is likely all you will need. i do mostly 3D stuff and use the extra tools of the Pro version. the 3D also is handy when you really want to show where stuff runs, etc.

if you know any cad at all, VC will take you just a few days to get the hang of it, lots built-in video tutorials too. it runs best on MAC, but a Windows PC with a decent video card will also work.

search for the coupon discounts, you can likely get 2d/3d for like $49.
