Ok, I know this is Mike Holts forum, but I would like to know if there is a book of visual aids that would indicate what to look for in an inspection. For example a service entrance of a multifamily dwelling where each dwelling is 100 amps each and the meters are in a garage...what do you look for? what are the likely problems, what kinds of protection (ie, behind locked doors, bollards).

or the tap rule, in real terms, very confusing to me.

Thanks

I think I would be a nice idea if we can get our experience together, say some DIY experience, pics, videos etc.

1. The NEC Handbook. That's your best bet to get both code and pcitures.

2. The IAEI 1&2 Family Electrical Systems Handbook. Lots of good pics and code references.

3. The NFPA Inspectors Manual. No pictures, but lots of good checklists with code references.
