Anyone know of any good testers that make a list of tested outlets so I can print them out for the customer. I need to test the tention on the hospital grade grade recp in an ASC building.

The woodhead 1760 tester is very cheap and is all the tester that is required. I had 48 rooms to test with 6 outlets in each room. Had to list location also. North, south, east, west etc. and list the tention of each. I forget the LBS of tention required.

The tension of a receptacle grounding blade is 4 oz, and can be found in NFPA Standard 99, Chapter 4.3.3.2.4. No tension is stated for the phase and grounded slots.

We use the Woodhead 1760 as well, but I believe that scubad3932?s customer may have requested a tension tester that automatically generates a report for liability reasons. The R6500 generated reports are write protected to prevent accidental (or intentional) tampering with collected data. Also, this unit can be calibrated whereas the 1760 cannot. Since health care facilities must be checked (tested) annually, scubad3932 will be providing the baseline data for the next inspection cycle.
