in patient care areas what do you how do you ground your devices if you have fed devices with hospital grade mc cable or you have emt conduit with a redundent ground wire in it do you still pigtail the R/G wire to the back of the box then to the device

The insulated equipment ground conductor (green wire) is treated the same as it is in any installation. So, yes you attach it to the box and the device.

These MC runs (in reality HCFC) are not critical branch circuits are they? (not a concern if you are under the 99 code)
