Did they sell the job?
How much input did they have?
Did you have an agreement in place?
Would they be insulted by $10,000.00?

What does the company get for their money? A chance to bid the job wouldn't be much but a sure thing thing could be worth a few bucks if there is about $500K of profit involved.

I have never seen anyone in a postition to just refer a job of that size as all that I have seen are out for bid, even government contracts. If this is some sort of under the table deal a sack full of money wouldn't be out of the question if there is enough profit involved. Is this part of the stimulus package and how do I get my share?

If you play a pivotal role in my company being awarded a 1 million+ contract I'll gladly negotiate an amicable referral fee. Key word is pivotal.
