Do any of you Moderators or Admins know the code for the program which locks the cells. I like the program because it is something I can show my clients, but I don't like all of the color it uses. I want to change it to black and white and eliminate the gray background and Red border. To do so I have to go to Tools: Protection: Unprotect Sheet while im in Excel. At this point it requires a password to unprotect it. I just want to unprotect it long enough to change the colors to black and white. Is this possible? Who might I speak to if so?

Re: Regarding Free Residential Load Calculator

Although it's too small to read in normal view, if you select cell C:3 and look in the data entry field at the top of the screen you will find that this excellent calculator is the work of John Sokolik. I've searched this site for more information on John to no avail. If you look at the bottom of the User Info worksheet, there is a field for a serial number. Apparently at one time it was possible to pay a fee and get a registration number that would unlock the program. I suspect the author at some point decided it wasn't worth his time to provide support to those of us who aren't experts at using Excel macros! If all you want to do is print the pages in black & white, you should be able to easily do that by changing the "properties" of your printer.
