I see GE has a “Reduced energy let-through” system. I assume you turn it on when working on the gear since it has a “normal” and “on” position. I assume it bypasses the normal delays for quicker clearing times to reduce incident energy? First time I seen one of these newer gears. My guy was on a call with this breaker tripping every 30 minutes like clockwork. (Obvious RTU second or third stage compressor faulted, ground fault setting at minimum) Only one RTU on building. Tech turned unit off, no more tripping. Building still under warranty, so customer to get engineer to perform study for settings, and Hvac contractor to troubleshoot RTU.
