Does anyone know of any fan switches, 3+ speeds, that does NOT have to use a canopy module? My goal is to have a 2G box with fan speed and dimmable light control with a remote. The lutron maestro series is what I have throughout the house, but for fan control they use the module.

So whats the deal - no room in the canopy? Nothing I know of says you actually have to put the module at the fan... wire it to somewhere else... then to the fan. ;) Say a seperate box under the insulation in the attic.... :D Or in a closet...

Or if not looking for speed control just use a MA-S8AM - 8A switch... (looks and feels the same) The alternative is a Diva fan control

Meastro wireless and Radio RA both make simular Pico remotes for the application as just a switch....

Seems with the wireless controls that use the thing in the canopy are not dependable. ALl the ones ive tried end up with the fan turnign on when it wants to, and the light on full blast at 3 in the morning. Not a good thing at all.

Ill check out the products you mentioned, I may just have to go with a wired wall controll and ditch the remote idea completly.

Lutron makes 3 speed controls as well as what was linked in the above post--f/l control.

Ariadni style or diva style speed controls. If you have rocker switches in the house then the Diva style speed control is what you want.
