Remote key for Genny, pointless?

Just thinking outloud... what is the purpose of having this remote start key fob if you have to plug and unplug the cord at the generator and also turn on or off the fuel shut off valve. If you're at the generator then use the electric start at the genny. Pointless remote key?

Am I missing something here?

Can the generator stay off with fuel shut off valve in the on position? How long though.

Can you start generator with the 30A cord plugged into it first?

I guess if those answers are yes, I have my answers.

What's the point of installing a tachometer in a vehicle with an automagic transmission?

There are two results:
[1] It gives the driver one more opportunity to be eyes-down when he should have been looking where he was going.
[2] It sells more cars.

My guess, the remote sells more generators. And in a capitalistic environment, that supersedes being functionally pointless.

I can't count the number of times I reminded people "Just because you can, doesn't mean you should" while working in the car biz.

Trying to start the genny with a load connected will be very hard on the engine and the temporary low frequency can be bad for many loads.
