Remote Lighting Control

I am adding on to an existing parking lot, in which the lighting is fed from contactors inside the adjacent building. All of the lighting is 480V. Rather than install long feeds back to this panel, I would like to take two (no neutral available) switched hots, over to a two-pole disconnect and a lighting contactor to control the new lighting. My options are:

1. A 480V control relay...personally, I haven't seen one before.
2. Install a small 480 to 277 or 120 transformer with the contactor. Any fusing issues I might be missing?

As always, any advice is greatly appreciated.

*EDIT* The new lighting will be fed from a new service.

Square D shows 480V as a coil option (w/ no charge) in their digest for all their lighting contactors. That would be the simplest way to go. Depending where you put this relay, I think you are going to need a disconnect on the incoming 480, especially if it's in a building that's served by a different service. I'm not sure if these would qualify as "control wiring".

May I suggest you order an extra coil and stash it in your panel so that it may be replaced without waiting for a new one. I doubt many people have a 480V coil for a lighting contactor on the shelf, and you're looking at a dark parking lot until you get it.
