Removable / Reversible Conduit Seal for Class I, Div. 1 Hazardous Locations?

I just came back from yet another project that had supposedly passed final electrical inspection, yet every conduit seal in the conduit leading to a Class I Div. 1 sewage pump station was missing the sealing compound. I have a hunch the owner's concern over the difficulty of removing and re-installing the pumps may have played a role in this. I know there are a couple things that can be done to minimize the headache that permanent seals cause, but really it would be best if there was a removable sealing compound or separable sealing fitting that was rated for Class I, Div. 1 installations. Does any mfr. have such a product? The closest thing I've seen was a removable seal that was rated for Class I, Div. 2 installations, which is nice but not quite what I'm looking for.
