Can anyone tell me if renewable link fuses are still allowed to be used?

I found them in the UL White book. They seem to imply that they are ok.
But I can't anything about them in the code book.

Can someone stear me in the right direction?

Thanks,
Bowhunter

Yes, they are still legal. They are often mis-applied on systems with more than 10kSCA available.

In my opinion they are not a good design choice. I can not think of a legitimate benefit for using them.

It is still legal to replace the links but not to use them for new installations. 240.60(D) Renewable Fuses. Class H cartridge fuses of the renewable type shall be permitted to be used only for replacement in existing installations where there is no evidence of overfusing or tampering. :)

seems somewhat self-defeating, probably by design.
most commercial/industrial large enough to have a knowledgable maintenace crew that won;'t overfuse or tamper is also large enough to have over 10kSCA and thus not be able to use them anyway.
