From a service call last month.......

http://forums.mikeholt.com/showthread.php?t=98137

I got approval from management to change the service, went to get a permit and the (neighboring) city wanted one lines and load calcs....for replacing a service????

Fine.....whatever.

We put management in contact with an engineer who discovered that AC units had been added to all 50 apartments some time after original construction. Original cooling was evaporative. Built in the 80's.....Who woulda thought?

All units are failing. It's only a matter of time. I'm glad I took everyone's advice and did not install the temp repair. Tennant STILL has no 240V and summer is upon us.

It has gone from a simple replacement to upgrade everything including feeders to the apartments and possibly POCO feeders. AC guy could be in deep stuff. They are in the process of reviewing old permits.
