Replace 120V dryer element with a 240v?

I have a very old 120v whirlpool dryer that needs a new heating element (it’s 1976).

I can’t find a 120v replacement element that will fit, but I can see some 240v that would fit. Can I use a 240v dryer heater as a replacement for the existing failed 120v element?
