Replacing a 30lb fixture with 50lb fixture

I am attempting (with help) to replace a 30lb fixture with a 50lb fixture. The previous owner painted over the box so I cannot see what this box is rated , also trying to figure out if it's connected to studs? Anyway I have no idea what I'm doing and my friend is equally as clueless as I. If you need extra information let me know but the is what it looks like :
