I usually put tags of general information on discos and panels identifying name of equipment that feed, voltage system, phases, wires. My questions is:
Is code requirement to put in tags and labels also where the power come from or is something optional?
I was diving in the code and I couldn't find any reference. Thanks in advance

There is requirements for items such as circuit breakers, switches (as in branch circuit/feeder circuit switches) and similar to identify what they supply, but is not usually necessary if arranged so that the purpose is evident. Like a disconnect with a whip to a piece of equipment generally is considered evident that that is what it supplies.

Could you guide me the nec reference if you remember. The question is because the owner conduct a survey and require in every panelboard to put where the power coming from but didn't cite any mandatory reference.

110.22(A), and I see that does require to identify the source supplying a disconnecting means in other than one and two family dwellings. I don't really see that being enforced on smaller facilities that may only have one main distribution panel. If more than one place for subpanels to be supplied from, I was generally identifying them anyway I guess even though I didn't know it was required.

Article 408 Switchboards, Switchgear, and Panelboards

408.4 Descriptions Required.
(A) Circuit Directory or Circuit Description.
Every circuit and circuit modification shall be provided with a legible and permanent description that complies with all of the following conditions as applicable:
  • (1) Located at each switch or circuit breaker in a switchboard or switchgear
  • (2) Included in a circuit directory that is located on the face of, inside of, or in an approved location adjacent to the panel door in the case of a panelboard
  • (3) Clear, evident, and specific to the purpose or use of each circuit including spare positions with an unused overcurrent device
  • (4) Described with a degree of detail and clarity that is unlikely to result in confusion between circuits
  • (5) Not dependent on transient conditions of occupancy
  • (6) Clear in explaining abbreviations and symbols when used

(B) Source of Supply.
All switchboards, switchgear, and panelboards supplied by a feeder(s) in other than one- or two-family dwellings shall be permanently marked in accordance with the following:
  • (1) With the identification and physical location of where the power originates
  • (2) With a label that is permanently affixed and of sufficient durability to withstand the environment involved
  • (3) Using a method that is not handwritten

I can't tell you how many facilities I have been in where the new equipment was labeled, per the NEC, using the equipment identification shown on the plans.
Most of these facilities had multiple panels called HV1 feeding transformer TX1 which fed panel LV1 which often fed P1. This was most prevalent in hospitals and college campuses where remodel and additions are common.
