We are using 1000v and 2000v unshielded cable. Our understanding is that this cable is required to be installed in metal conduit or concrete encased PVC per article 300.50(A)(2).
(1) Is there an exception that allows direct burial of unshielded 1kV and 2kV cable?
(2) Some cable manufacturers have unshielded 1kV and 2kV cable that is rated for direct burial. If this cable must be installed in conduit per 300.50(A)(2), then when can this cable be used in direct burial applications?
