Rerouting Service Entry for Generator

Quick question, can I run three 2/0 wires from the meter that come straight into the main panel from the main panel through a 2x4 stud on a load bearing wall in a 1.4 inch hole into the automatic transfer switch? The code says 2 inch but the load bearing wall can only have 1.4 inch hole in the stud. SInce it is just box to box with a 2x4 in between I thought maybe the 2" hole would not apply. Wishful thinking? Thank you!

If I did the math correctly, less than 24", no problem.

What size conduit? 1 1/4 is not the OD

a 1.4 inch hole would only allow 1" GRC which would not allow 3-2/0s (same is true for EMT)
