Resi generators

I don't know that much about the residential/small commercial back-up generators that are out there (natural gas/propane).
What's been your experience? I'm interested in:
-Ease of installation
-Reliability
-Low maintenance
-Overall customer satisfaction

What brands and models do you like? Why?
