Re: Residential estimating programs

A simple one is National Constrution Estimator.

This gives you sf cost and individual costs. With this program you can change the varibles.

You can also make a template to use on your estimating.

As with any program this is just a starting point.

I would not use this program for anything but residential work. It also includes other trades. IE excavating, plumbing,HVAC, minimums on small jobs, rental fees, dumping fees etc.

Re: Residential estimating programs

Wayne, I just figured my own unit costs for a "hole count" style takeoff and made an Excel spreadsheet for bidding these jobs. All I have to do now is count the different types of openings, input to my sheet, and the math is done for me.
