residential grounding question...

simple question regarding grounding of a resi service...the house has and existing 200A MCB service...ground rods and water pipe ground...

there was an addition put on on the opposite end of the house...no contiguous bath between the basements..

ufer was installed in the footing of the addition.

service is being upgraded to 400/320A resi w/ 2-200a service disconnects located exterior on either side of the meter socket.

one disconnect feeds the existing panel which is essentially right below it in the basement.

the other disconnect will feed a new 200A sub panel in the addition basement and is run about 60' underground out side the structure

can these be grounded as 2 individual 200A services? or do we need to ground it as 1 400A service?

do the 2 disconnects need to be bonded together?
 
Unless you connect your grounding electrode conductor ahead of the disconnects, such as in the meter, you would need a grounding electrode conductor connected to each disconnect.
A conductor from each disconnect could tap onto a common electrode conductor which would need to be connected to each of all grounding electrodes for the premises.
