I am wiring a residential tub, with a factory motor. It has a lug and we usually hit the hot and cold with a #8 solid. The problem is all the piping is plastic. where do we bring the #8 now?

Hot tub or hydromassage tub?

If there are no other metal parts associated with or around the tub, nothing else needs to be bonded.

I agree, if this is a hydromassage tub no additional bonding is required.

Not only do I agree, I'd remove the lug and add it to my collection; they come in handy when you have to bond some enclosures. I keep extra ground buses that panels come with.

take it to a ground rod in the hole underneith the tube or take it to pannel
