residential load calculation

3 story home with garage on first floor. Is the garage counted in calculation?? It has a 3 car garage on first floor and 2nd and 3rd are dwelling very little attic. please follow up with the NEC reference on garage sqft in load calc

Garage not counted in general lighting load calc. 220.12 nor is there a specific load for it like laundry and SABC, 220.52.

i appreciate the answer. The home also shows an elevator in drawing. I have zero experience with elevators. Any advice on the elevator i need to be aware of on elevator side of job.i have read article 620 and right now makes no sense to me. i am tempted to exclude elevator section of project.

The elevators I have done in a residence only required that I run a 10/3 cable to it. The elevator people did the rest

Be sure to check with elevator installers, on a rare few we supplied and installed a fused disconnect as well as the feed.

10/3 with ground-- never heard it called 10/4 except in rubber cord.
